My name is Matt Mathias and I am a husband, father, and total geek. 10 years ago 2 life changing things happened to me; I married my wife, and I started a tech company(now called BlueModus) with my best friend(now the CTO of our company who ironically used to try to convince he was not a geek when we were growing up).
Since I am the kind of person who keeps my personal life private this blog will be about technology, marketing, and business. These three things are my professional passions. Over the past decade I have had the good fortune to work in all of these areas extensively. I have been able to work in marketing and business for global brands, startups; and Fortune 50, 100, and 500 companies. I have worked with almost every technology from MS DOS, to iOS and virtually everything in between. I have programmed phone systems, setup carrier switches, configured routers, setup wireless networks, run network cables, managed servers; programmed in BASIC, QBasic, ASP, Visual Basic, Java, PHP, C#, C, C++, Objective-C, Python, Pascal, PERL, and many others. I have designed logos, created websites, and well..you get the idea.
I decided to start this blog primarily because over the years the Internet, Google, and blogs have been invaluable to me and my company. I felt like after 10 years of being a net consumer of the vast amount of information on the Internet it was time that I started giving back.
I like to consider my self fairly objective about technologies and trends so it is possible that this blog will be about a little of everything. Since my current position in my company has me leading the team that manages the user experience side of our projects it is likely that most of my posts will have something to do with the technologies I use everyday in this role. This includes jQuery, Kentico CMS, .NET, Objective-C, and HTML.
It is my hope that some day someone finds one of my blogs on Google and is able find a solution to a challenge they are facing in the information I post here.
